The reason why we have not yet addressed the perfdata issue is that
our (op5) focus right now is to get the op5 Monitor 5.0 release ready.
This involve a release of both Merlin and Ninja v 1.0. Since the focus
for the release is to create a replacement gui for Nagios the merlin
efforts have been targeted at making it work well as a backend for
Ninja.
When Merlin-1.0 and Ninja 1.0 is released we will move focus towards
distributed/redundant setups. The plan is to have a op5 Monitor 5.1
release in October where we have support for distributed/redundant
setups. This offcourse include releasing a new version of Merlin (and
possible Ninja) and the issue you mention should be addressed. Since
development will start in April you might see some real progress
before the summer but I can't make any promises.
If somebody is interested in looking at this before we do I'm sure
Andreas will share his ideas on how to fix the issue.
Cheers,
/Peter
