Russel,
I figured out the username pass by looking inside the db it was default
Monitor/Monitor
My problem is now that it is not sinking to the DB. I have never put
Nagios to mysql, I do not know if I have to look at Ndoutils, Merlin or
Ninja to correct this.
If anyone could give me instructions or point me in the right direction
much would be appreciated.
Thanks,
George Tsafas

Subject: Re: [op5-users] Ninja and Nagios
two thoughts:
did you have an htusers and all setup previously? also, go to the ninja
demo on the website of op5 and try the demo out, i actually think i
recall those credentials being the ones that got me into my ninja as
well. maybe not, hazy memory for that. I remember being surprised at
what the creds were, but that might just be because of what internal
username got me in.
Sorry I can't be of more help. Worst case i figure you could go into the
DB and regenerate the creds. I have done it in the past via webmin, just
go into the table and set the user's password to a new hash value of
some other password... (unless it's stored in cleartext... )
Thanks,
Russell

Hello all,
I have recently started using Nagios here at work. I am pushing it to
all our systems and I came across the Ninja GUI and was excited to try
it.
I have installed merlin following directions.
I pointed it to Nagios cfg, gave it login/pw and created the db for it
I then installed ninja and started the initiate script. Ninja created
the tables in the database fine. But my login and password for Nagios to
the ninja gui do not work and I do not see Nagios putting data into the
DB. Any help for a beginner? Thanks
