I'm running code a few weeks out on my NOC but i imagine this will  
still apply... and i may have covered this before (but in a different  
way). But, either way, i apologize if either points apply.

Long and short: host goes down on poller, noc receives status from  
poller and sends out notification. Host comes back up, poller notifies  
noc, but nagios never see's the "up". Sure, it'll say it's up in the  
interface, but something isn't happening to tell nagios, since i  
cannot for the life of me get recovery alerts for anything from  
merlin... and if it goes down, then comes back up, then goes back down  
again, it'll still be on the same notification #, which makes  
escalations screwy as well...  (and this i think i brought up before,  
or something like this...)

Any chance at this getting fixed soon? Even perf. data i can jurry rig  
to work, but without recovery's and message # resets i'm not sure how  
i can make it work. And of course, soon is relative... keeping in mind  
of course this is free software and all. Just not sure how to say  
"this is a big deal to me and would like to see this fixed soon" in a  
respectful way and not sound demanding... not looking forward to  
replacing merlin with all passive checks

and of course, if this is an error on my side, or was fixed in a newer  
release... whoops :-p
