Can these plug-ins be used in a standard Nagios installation or do you need Op5 Monitor to be able to use the plug-ins?

Hi all op5 users

We have done some work on the plugin packages that are distributed with
op5 Monitor. If you like to try them out, here is one way to do a simple
test. Note this is only for i386.

Go to Tactical Overview
take a snapshot of the screen

open a terminal on your monitor server and do

download

username: monitor
password: beta

tar jxvf plugins-2.6.0-beta.tar.bz2
cd plugins-2.6.0-beta
rpm -Uvh *
tail -f /opt/monitor/var/nagios.log

look for strange stuff, for example service/host state changes that
should not be there
compare your tactical overview snapshot with the current system status

to recover to the old plugin package version do
tar jxvf plugins-stable.tar.bz2
cd plugins-stable
rpm -e plugins-op5 plugins-community plugins-metadata plugins-nagios
--nodeps
rpm -Uvh *.rpm


This is the changelog, note that it is not entirely complete. The

check_email_loop and that some some annoying bugs are fixed.
