Hi Daniel / op5 users
I had that same problem, alot of sql questions and multiple values in the same graph and custom map files.
If you only have the one value that you need to handle like in your example the default template will do just fine for you and a default setup of pnp4nagios will graph it just like nagiosgraph, you dont even need to add your variables to a mapfile or anywhere else.
nagiosgraph and pnp however doesent write the rrd files quite the same and i havent found a way to import the old data.
/Daniel

Subject: [op5-users] Converting nagiosgraph .map to pnp4nagios
Hi,
As nagiosgraph being replaced by pnp4nagios in Monitor 4.1.2 some problems arise for me.
I have a lot of maps in /opt/monitor/op5/nagiosgraph/map_custom that I want converted so pnp4nagios parses the performance data, many of them don't follow the Nagios guide-line for how performance data should look, they often are some simple string like "name:data". I didn't find anything in the Monitor manual on this, is there some howto or guide for this?
Here is a example of a map file I want into pnp4nagios:
# Service type: check_poker_watchdog_timers
# output: OK: Runtime at 20081210 12:31:05 is 3229
# perfdata: rtime:3229
/perfdata:rtime:(\d+)/
and push @s, [ time_ms,
[ "time", GAUGE, $1] ];
What I need is a step-by-step guide on how to get this data into pnp4nagios.
Not needed, but is there anyway to import old nagiosgraph rrd data into pnp4nagios?
Regards,
Daniel Kåkneryd
