[op5-users] re Merlin not importing all data from objects.conf

My version is:

[1248973966] 6: Merlin daemon v0.6.2-beta2p1 successfully initialized

Interesting though..

While I am tailing Ninja's daemon log, I see the hosts..

[1250017964] 7: Updating status for host 'wil-sprint'
[1250017964] 7: sel_val: 22; ipc_listen_sock: 5; ipc_sock: 22; net_sock: 6
[1250017964] 7: select() returned 1 (errno = 0: Success)

But host "wil-sprint" is nowhere to be found in the GUI.

When I click on "Hostgroup View" I get a message "No Data Found".

Same is for, Hostgroup Grid, and Hostgroup Summary.

Looks like it affects Service Groups as well..

In Technical view, I can see 2 of the hosts...

I am using service/host dependency, and some of my hosts do not have a "check-host-alive" configured because they are network devices where a ping to check the host alive is not applied.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Andreas

I'm using Merlin 0.6.2-beta 2 but I'll be building a new box later and I'll
test it using latest (v0.6.2-beta2p11) and feed back to you

Mike

What version of Merlin are you using? The version string should
be found in the logs with the following command:
grep 'Merlin.*initialized.*' daemon.log

I can't seem to reproduce it with the latest (v0.6.2-beta2p11).

Considering the successes of the wars on alcohol, poverty, drugs and
terror, I think we should give some serious thought to declaring war
on peace.
